Since its inception, The Salseras have taught classes at the Dennis Senior Center, the Barnstable Community Center in Hyannis, show-cased at the Dave Birtwell Alzheimer’s Family Support Walk, the Cape Cod Academy, Mashpee Middle School, hosted parties at the Cape Cod Beer Co. and other places on Cape Cod.

 

Currently, we teach a Basic Latin Steps Class at St. Peter’s Church in Osterville every second Friday each month. And host a social dance at Betsy’s Ballroom in Yarmouth every fourth Saturday.

 

In August of this year, we are organizing a Summer Latin Dance Fundraising Party to collect funds
for the rebuilding efforts of Puerto Rico.

 

We are designing these programs to not only teach the dance steps, choreography and technique but also to promote self-steam, to develop interpersonal relationships, foster a healthy attitude about self, culture, family,

and community.
